Hi, I am Sue Ledgerwood, the EA supporting Duniway students. This is my 6th year as an EA for PPS and fourth year at Duniway. I grew up in Seattle, then graduated from the University of Portland before becoming the Chief Compliance Officer and Manager of Customer Service for an investment advisor. After my children were born, I discovered a passion for working with kids and did so in a volunteer capacity for years.
I have been very involved with my children’s school and PTA (including two years as President), but my favorite volunteer hours were the ones spent in the classroom or working with kids. I am very excited to be working with your children this year!
Hello my name is Christy Suib. This is my 8th year as an EA at Duniway. As a mother of three children in PPS, I am very aware of the strengths, challenges, and absolute wonder of elementary-aged students. With the new school year underway, I continue to be amazed by students' perseverance, compassion and willingness to help and teach each other.
I am also tuned into the challenges and hardships these students face. With my past work experience with at-risk and marginalized youth in Portland, including running programs for homeless, runaway, and youth involved in the Juvenile Justice System, I am passionate about young people and creating equitable access to education and learning. This always remains in the forefront of my work.
